Future Announcements
HIDE You may refer to 67/3 in relation to the Metropolis of the Future as well now. I'll think of something better to write up to explain the few minor differences, but that's the gist of it. Log will be posted soon. Cheers, 31st Century! HIDE
HIDE Hullo, and welcome to tonight's edition of Galactic Bandstand! Tonight, we've got a new contestant: Viridian! This lovely shade of cyan will be dancing the Editorial Cha-Cha, which means you have someone to complain to in addition to me, and that if I flip out and start killing people, Opaque and Lapis won't have to put me down alone. Rah rah! Welcome Viridian! HIDE
HIDE Hi guys! I'm about to start running what should be a very interesting TP that will involve lots of character-build ing sorts of things! However, said plot is a Legion mission that will take people away from HQ for about a week, perhaps longer if people are really enjoying it. That means if you join, you'd have to forego further Global participation. Knowing this, please @mail me if you're interested. It involves lots of mind-bending, perception-alte ring, relationship building stuff. Further details will be sent to those who decide to participate! Just @mail me with your hand up! If I don't get enough participants (I'm aiming for about six or so) I will postpone the plot until a later date. Jan (muahaha) HIDE
HIDE People from the 31st still have the option to continue participating in the global through to the end. As always, people everywhere have the option of not dealing with the global if they don't want to. :) There -is- other stuff going on, and there is also some really cool stuff about to start that is quite future-specific ; if you are confused about where you should be or where you want to be or what you're doing, @mail or page me. <3 HIDE
HIDE Guys, give a warm welcome to Lapis and Sangria, who will be helping me with BIG SEKRIT PLOT THINGS and little sekrit plot things and... et cetera. Sorry, it's late and I'm retarded when it's late. Suffice it to say, they are new Future staff. Hi. Yes. :D HIDE
HIDE Just so you all get a reminder of how awesome you are...? The LSH forum, despite starting a couple of years later, has outstripped the Titans forum in logs. THAT MEANS... we have THE MOST LOGS of ANY TEAM ON THE GAME. Next goal? Beating Metropolis. Then New York. Then Gotham. THEN, THE WORLD. MUAHAHAHAHAhaha haha ha aha haaa *cough*. Carry on. HIDE

Future Roleplay
HIDE Since people have been asking for the Interlac-slang to English dictionary for Legion-era swear words: Grife - damn, darn, grief, and in some cases 'god' in the general sense. Sprock - the 'f' word in 21st Century Parlance. Zootie - the hindquarters ['ass'], in vulgar parlance Squaj - unisex insult similar to the B-word for male or female, or something a bit stronger. Nass - Excrement or vulgar parlance for same. Skrag - Knock it off, stop it Linsnarian [Gear's homeworld] Foozle / Squeedle - a quick and dirty jury-rig of a biotechnologica l connection to a completely inorganic AI type interface. 30th Century Archaic: Rad-Burn (You) - ['God'] damn you. Literally "may you receive a painful radiation burn" Grummy - Disgusting condition, slimy, unclean, nasty Drek - see above, Nass Feel free to chime in with additions. HIDE
Future: Info
HIDE Okay. Since we apparently had a big game of Operator going around part of the Legion -- I'd like to thank the half-dozen people who were very kind to me going 'Bwah?' at them confusedly, and the couple of people who contacted me worriedly, and reassure the worried people that the stuff they were worried about was pretty much an entertainingly wacky chain of misunderstandin gs. :D For the record: The android body currently referred to as 'Mattie' or, if you're being formal, 'Metropolis' is *not* in cold storage in Bastion, in Brainy's lab, or in any other location. ;D Various people are continuing to work with and on the tech side of the problems regarding her; Kara and Lyle are using a lab in Bastion, with Kem-El interested in their data and occasional useful pieces showing up suddenly in their work that Brainiac 5 would *certainly* never say anything about providing. Mattie can occasionally be found in that lab as well, when they're actively working on her, but since she does have regular control of a small collection of B-13 nanites, and being in Bastion blocks her off from them, she's not there unless she has to be. She can generally be found somewhere in Legion HQ or the vicinity, though she has *finally* figured out that showers and bedrooms are personal space and not to be walked in on. There are still a number of security issues involved. Due to the way B-13 tech and Kryptonian tech interact, Mattie is having severe trouble replicating her programming outside of the android body. As a result, while the B-13 repair/reconstr uction nanites are again active in areas of Metropolis to some extent, Mattie is controlling them *directly* from the android body rather than via the previous power core; every time she goes into Bastion, she has to shut down the nanites first, or risk them lapsing back into 'oh, hey, urban renewal by blowing up the entire coastline' mode. As a result, the power core continues to be *remarkably* well shielded as an additional line of defense against the latent programming there getting loose. ... which would be why people are continuing to work on the android, and why nobody's packed her off to Robotica yet. ;) -- Opaque HIDE
HIDE An Affiliated Planets courier vessel has arrived on Earth, at Weisinger Spaceport in Metropolis. Known or suspected pieces of business include negotiations to link Winath to the new, upgraded and (in theory) secure stargate network -- a piece of news which has Vyrga distinctly unhappy, since Vyrga has been slowly jacking up the price of Footstep travel (still not yet proven to be completely safe for the Vyrgans involved), resulting in Winath's exports continuing to be squeezed while Vyrga's profits are preserved despite the spread of the new stargates. At least one Khundish military courier has also been spotted in transit between the spaceport and Legion HQ. (Khunds in full ceremonial armor are kind of hard *not* to spot.) HIDE
HIDE To all Legionnaires and Future-Types: I plan on running a scene Tomorrow, Wednesday the 6th, sometime in the evening (Approximate estimates are 8:30 to 9:00 EST). If you can be there... be there. Or you'll be some sort of shape that does not denote coolness. -V HIDE
